Sol-gel TiO2-0.25MnO has been obtained using a colloidal solution. The thermal transformation behavior of the fresh xerogel was followed by simultaneous thermal analysis (STA) and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). Sol-gel coatings were deposited by dipping and the successive dense films were optically characterized using W-VIS-NIR spectrophotometry. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V: All rights reserved.
