Microwave Assisted Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Novel 1,3,4-Thiadiazoles and 1,2,4-Triazoles Derived from 2-(3-Fluorophenyl)-4-methylthiazole-5-carbohydrazide

摘要
The precursors 2-{[2-(3-fluorophenyl)-4-methyl-1,3-thiazol-5-yl]carbonyl}-N-phenylhydrazinecarbothioamides are synthesized from 2-(3-fluorophenyl)-4-methylthiazole-5-carbohydrazide and aryl isothiocyanates. MW irradiation of the precursors under alkali or acidic conditions led to the products of cyclization 5-[2-(3-fluorophenyl)-4-methylthiazol-5-yl]-N-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-amine or 5-[2-(3-fluorophenyl)-4-methylthiazol-5-yl]-4-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-triiol, accordingly. Structures of the synthesized compounds are confirmed by IR, H-1, and C-13 NMR, and mass spectra. All products are tested in vitro for their antibacterial and antifungal activity.
