摘要
This study investigated the main causes of school dropout in Distance and Vocational Education courses, using the state-of-the-art method. We used four repositories for this research, Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online); Capes Newspapers; RCAAP (Scientific Repositories of Open Access of Portugal) and Recolecta (Open Science Collector). For this survey we work with the descriptors, school dropout in distance courses; school dropout in Professional and Technological Education courses and school dropout in Distance and Professional Education courses, respecting the temporal cut between 1989 and 2018. Thus, we obtained 629 papers as a result. However, it is important to emphasize that of these, only 13 investigations were directly related to the topic addressed in our article, being two dissertations and eleven articles, among which none directly work the topic of school dropout in Distance and Professional Education courses, they are distance education or vocational and technological education. Demonstrating with this, that although school drop-out is a problem in the educational system of several countries, it is still little investigated with regard to Distance Vocational Education courses.
