摘要
This article explores studies on motivation and task in the field of both SLA and other related fields. It emphasizes the importance of narrowing down the motivation construct into several more manageable and operational units. Further, it tentatively proposes a conceptual framework, the "Task Characteristics Model," which aims at investigating the relationship among certain task properties, L2 learners, and task outcomes.
