摘要
This paper presents an analysis and evaluation of a system model for fault-tolerant distributed computing. Specifically, our research leads to the derivation and experimental corroboration of an abstract model for fault-tolerant parallel systems. The goal is a model capable of predicting the performance of a fault-tolerant distributed system. Central to our distributed systems experiments, we have created a resource management tool as a framework for our research. We use this tool in the investigation of strategies for efficient and reliable distributed computation. The abstract model presented here is shown to accurately predict the performance of our fault-tolerant resource manager.
