Atom localization via electromagnetically induced transparency

摘要：
We propose a simple scheme of atom localization based on probe absorption in which the atom interacts with a classical standing-wave field. By employing a three-level A system, it is shown that the position of an atom inside the standing-wave field depends on the detuning of the coupling field, detuning of the probe laser field, and the position-dependent Rabi frequency of the coupling field.
