摘要
This paper presents the implementation of a reconfigurable advanced manufacturing system for high schools and universities in developing countries. The system consists of two reconfigurable micro machine-tools with universal numerical control, one robotic arm, and two warehouses for raw materials and finished product. Altogether form an assembly kit of mechanical, electrical and electronic parts. The development of this technology has the following characteristics: reconfigurability, low cost, and adaptability. The study cases of this technology had shown benefits and improvements in the student's knowledge of the manufacturing areas. The first study case was at a technical school with students of mechanical areas. The second implementation was at the university with undergraduate mechatronic students.
