摘要
This paper presents a novel approach for bridge maintenance management based on Simulated Annealing algorithm. With the limited available budget, the main objective of optimizing funding allocation is to achieve the best working condition in terms of the Average Bridge Condition Index (ABCI) of all bridges considered at the end of the reference period. A case study with 10,000 bridges is presented. It is demonstrated that the algorithm presented in this paper can help bridge administrators to make a rational budget for bridge maintenance and allocate the maintenance funding efficiently.
