摘要
The motif of "divine wrath leading to understanding" in ancient Near-Eastern and biblical tradition is uses a a primary example to show that creation and royal ideologies are linked in both biblical and ancient Near-Eastern mythology. The relationship between the Babylonian "Akitu" festival, the Egyptian "Sed" festival of Akhenaten and the role of David as king in Psalms-2 and -89 forms the center of a discussion about the implied intellectual world which underlies biblical theology.
