摘要
In this paper, we investigate the distortion features of high-resolution image from wide-angle lens, and propose a piecewise correction method based on the grid template. From the distorted image, the ideal and the distorted coordinates of the grid intersection are extracted to search the optimal distortion center. Subsequently, we piecewise map the ideal and distorted coordinate to obtain the distortion coefficients, and finally correct distorted images with nonlinear radial mapping and bilinear interpolation. This method uses a single template image to obtain the geometric optimal parameter without solving linear equations. Experimental results show that the correction method is effective and practically used in the radial distortion images of high-resolution wide-angle lens, and preserves the undistorted edge of image.
