摘要
In this work, the nanoindentation creep behavior of electrodeposited Ni-P nanoglass films was investigated at room temperature with the constant load method. The Ni-P nanoglass films exhibit a smaller stress exponent, more obvious creep deformation and faster creep rate comparing to the traditional melt-quenched Ni-P metallic glass with identical chemical composition. The pronounced creep plasticity of Ni-P nanoglass films is attributed to its initial excess free volume and smaller "shear transformation zone" (STZ) volume during deformation. The creep behavior is a good starting point to pry about the relationship between the microstructure and mechanical properties of nanoglass.
