Communication saves lives. When a mine disaster occurs, underground mine roadways and communication facilities may suffer partial or devastating damage, causing communication to be blocked. This paper solves the problem of strong multipath fading in underground mine transmission by combining ultra-wideband (UWB) and multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO), and studies MIMO-UWB suitable for mine environment without increasing the energy consumption and transmission bandwidth of sensor nodes. The space-time coding scheme and the corresponding Rake receiver space-time decoding strategy obtain a lower bit error rate in the multipath environment after the mine disaster, provide data support for the on-site rescue command, and facilitate rescue coordination among multiple departments. Improve work efficiency and ensure the on-site rescue work is carried out in an orderly manner.
