摘要
An orbital angular momentum (OAM) generator was demonstrated by employing a hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber grating. The resulting OAM modes were formed by the strictly degenerate vector modes of HE21e and HE21o excited by a long-period fiber grating (LPFG). The topological charges of the OAM modes were tuned from -1 to 1 by changing the polarization states of the input fundamental mode. Benefitting from the air-filled core structure, OAM modes generated by an LPFG may be stably transmitted and applied without disturbances resulting from anisotropy of materials.
