An iOS Knowledge App to Support the Course "Developing Applications in a Programming Environment" of the Greek Lyceum

There is no doubt that nowadays new technologies affect people's lives to a great extent. Mobile devices can be found everywhere, modifying the way of communication and interaction between people. This phenomenon expands in education as well, altering the teaching and learning methods. In this paper, the design and the implementation of an educational application for iOS mobiles devices is presented. The application's context covers the course of the Greek Lyceum curriculum "Developing Applications in a Programming Environment". The findings of the application's evaluation show us that this application is a useful tool, which combines the gaming experience with the solution of simple as well as of more complex problems.
