摘要：

The method of audio-frequency magnetotelluric sounding (AMTS) and its application to mineral exploration are described. It was tested on ore deposits of the Donets basin and within the Ukrainian shield. The most representative results were obtained in the western Azov region, where AMTS was used to trace ore zones and fields and delineate areas of potential gold mineralization. Primary attention is given to the treatment and interpretation of magnetotelluric data and the analysis of the results obtained.
