Molecular-dynamics simulation of hot spots in energetic materials

摘要
A thermal explosion and shock initiation has been modeled with molecular dynamics (MD) method using REBO potential. Obtained results of MD simulation of thermal decomposition are in qualitative agreement with the macroscopic theory. The critical velocity and the flyer thickness for shock initiation have been obtained. Growth of hot spot from various width gaps has been modeled.
