摘要
The Energy Finite Element Analysis (EFEA) offers an improved solution to the established Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) for simulating the vibration of large-scale structures. A theoretical overview and comparison of the two methods is presented first. The main aspects of a numerical EFEA implementation are discussed. A published marine application is analyzed, and comparison of the results offers an initial validation of the EFEA. Numerical models for a fishing boat are generated for both methods and utilized for further comparison between the two formulations. The applicability of the EFEA in the marine field is demonstrated and its benefits are discussed.
