DELIVERY OF THE UNIFIED PROTOCOL FOR TRANSDIAGNOSTIC TREATMENT OF EMOTIONAL DISORDERS IN ADOLESCENTS VIA TELEHEALTH (tUP-A): A CASE SERIES

摘要
The aim of this study was to provide preliminary qualitative and quantitative evidence on the clinical utility of the UP-A delivered via telehealth (tUP-A). Three adolescents diagnosed with emotional disorders (i.e., generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social anxiety disorders) received the tUP-A through weekly individual therapy sessions via video call. We used clinical information provided by the adolescents, their parents, and the therapists to examine the changes in the different quantitative and qualitative variables included in the study. The results based on pre-, post-treatment and follow-up (at three and six months) show a significant reduction in anxiety and depressive symptoms in the three adolescents according to the different sources of information. Implications of the UP-A delivered via telehealth to improve access to evidence-based therapy for emotional disorders in the adolescent population are discussed.
