Preparation and crystal structure of LnCu(4-x)P(2) (Ln:Y,La-Yb) and LuCu3-xP2

摘要
Several new ternary Cu phosphides were prepared by heating mixtures of the elements. The compounds LnCu(4-x)P(2) (Ln: Y, La-Yb) crystallize in the rhombohedral CaCu4P2 type structure (R(3) over barm$; Z = 3). Single crystal X-ray investigations of EuCu3.8P2, PrCu3.7P2 and GdCu3.7P2 (hexagonal axes see ''Inhaltsubersicht'') confirmed this structure and revealed a deviation from full occupancy of one copper position. LuCu3-xP2 (R(3) over barm$; Z = 6; a = 3.957(1), c = 40.109(3) Angstrom; hex. axes) crystallizes in the YbCu3P2 type structure, which is derived from the CaAl2Si2 and Cu3P type structure.
