Production of Itaconic Acid from Agricultural Waste

摘要
Aspergillus terreus AS(3)2811 was used for itaconic acid production from agricultural waste by solid state fermentation. On the basis of single factor experiment, the orthogonal tests were studied. The result showed that the greatest factor affected on the production was NH4NO3, followed by C6H12O6, ZnSO4, MgSO4 and KH2PO4. The optimal condition for acid production was that medium with moisture 65% contained NH(4)NO3,4 g/L; KH2PO4, 0.1 g/L; MgSO4, 6 g/L; C6H12O6,4 g; ZnSO4 center dot 7H(2)O,0.015 g/L; inoculum 1 x 10(7) spores/ml. Then incubated at 36 degrees C after 72h, the yield of itaconic acid contained in dry medium was 63.5%.
