Studying psychosocial problems in aphasia: Some conceptual and methodological considerations

摘要：
This paper describes problems of studies and research focusing on psychosocial and emotional sequelae in aphasic patients and their relatives. Based on a model of different components of the construct 'psychosocial status' and their interactions conceptual, methodological, and statistical problems are outlined. Furthermore, some specific aspects of evaluation, treatment, and outcome in aphasia rehabilitation are discussed.
