摘要
Pediatric and adolescent anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries have dramatically increased in the last years. In those cases, a conservative treatment is proposed with a delayed reconstruction. In case of conservative treatment, it is decisive to have a rehabilitation approach with knee stability. The aim of this case report was to describe how a conservative rehabilitation, focused on a neuromuscular intervention and a fun workout adapted to the young age, can be effective to involve a young patient and at the same time to reduce risk of the reinjury. We present in this study the case of a 10-year-old male, praticing a multi-sport including tennis, sky and football ( soccer), confirmed with an isolated partial ACL tear on his right knee. After the rehabilitation treatment performed, this case suggests that a specific neuromuscular training could be an important chance to approach and integrate a conservative rehabilitation to reduce primary and secondary ACL injury and avoid overload on a non-surgically treated knee in younger athletes.y
