Spectroscopic characterization of LaALO3 crystal doped with Pr3+ ions

摘要
The spectroscopic properties of Pr3+-doped LaAlO3 mono crystal were investigated at various temperatures. Absorption, emission, excitation and lifetime measurements were performed and discussed in the framework of the Judd-Ofelt approach. The visible emission is dominated by the (3)p(0) -> H-3(4), H-3(6), F-3(2) transitions. The quantum efficiency of the P-3(0) emission is almost one. Emission cross-sections of these transitions were calculated. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
