摘要
The main directions and the first results of developing friction modifiers for a rail-freight car wheel system are presented. A model for calculating forces of rolling friction with longitudinal and lateral creep is proposed. The relative slip and the thermal state of the contact zone are assessed. The concept of developing modifiers is presented and results of laboratory tribotests of steel specimens with one of the variants of modifying coatings are presented.
