摘要
Tourism moves millions of people annually, driven particularly by the images present in the collective social imaginary. The collective imaginary focused on tourism, however, propagates representations that are often stereotyped, creating movements to confront activity, by the populations of tourist destinations, configuring tourismphobia. Thus, this paper of bibliographical, documentary and explanatory character, analyzes the process of creating the social imaginary for a better understanding of this social conflict, thus helping to deepen the tourism theory. The objective is to understand the power relations present in the tourist activity that guide the tourist flow to certain locations, enabling the emergence of tourismphobia. Tourismophobia would be associated with fetishization and spectacularizing involved in tourist activity, as well as with a bourgeois social imaginary that interprets tourists as an enemy to be fought.
