摘要
The influence of HCl production and NaOH addition on catalytic activity in the liquid-phase hydrodechlorination of chlorobenzene over palladium-supported catalysts was studied. The rate of dehydrochlorination reaction falls with time owing to the poisoning effect of HCl gradually formed as by-product. A partial reaction order of -1 in HCl was found over the concentration range 0.05-0.3 M. The addition of NaOH as a proton acceptor was found to have a favourable effect only with the most disperse catalysts-by contrast, the alkali had an adverse effect on the activity of the least disperse solids.
