摘要
This essay argues that the satire on global capitalism's contradictory inclination toward both cosmopolitan worldliness and solipsism presented in Don DeLillo's Cosmopolis is best understood when read through a tension between the philosophies of Emmanuel Levinas and Martin Heidegger, particularly their views on futurity, otherness, and economy.
