摘要：

Proso millet is one of the main minor grain crops, and also the main crops of drought relief, belongs to the typical rainfed agriculture crop. Proso millet is planted widely in Liaoning province, planted in 13 cities of all 14 cities, north from Tieling, south to Dalian, east from Fushun, west to Chaoyang, but mainly concentrated in the western areas of Liaoning. It is planted more than ten thousand acres in Humeng, Zhangwu, Jianping, Chaoyang county, and Lingyuan, Zhuanghe city. Since the 1970s, agricultural academy of Liaoning province has been committed to the collection and the breeding of proso millet work, and has bred Zhuanghe proso millet 2, Liao Mi 56, Liao Yin Mi 1, Liao Mi no. 2 and no. 3 new species, the breeding work has played a significant role in increasing grain yield and farmers' income.
