摘要
This article is based on left-handed (LH) material structure that resonates at dual-frequency band, centered at 9.6GHz and 11.1GHz The conventional double split ring structure is modified by cutting a slot on conducting surface of the rings itself, which alters the equivalent inductance of the designed SSRR structure, and hence it possesses two resonating frequency band Scattering-parameters (S-11& S-21) are investigated by using Finite difference time-domain (FDTD) based simulation tool on FR-4 substrate The dual-band response is also investigated for the material in concurrence with the left-handed properties (relative permittivity-epsilon r, relative permeability-mu r, and refractive index-n) that are negative for tailored material over X-band microwave frequency. Designed unit cell is usable for artificial materials and to design microwave components for wireless applications with distinct properties, which is not possible through natural materials.
