摘要
Communication based train control and management systems in railway transport are only subdivided into imprecisely defined classes, which do not take into account, in a satisfactory way, their influence on railway safety and security. Paper defines innovative assessment method taking into account operational safety, technical safety and security. Assessment is based particularly on the scope of functions working in different operational situations, failure resistance both regarding systematic and random failures, protection against vandalism and terrorism as well as data being entered and being presented during system exploitation.
