Effect of annealing temperature on microstructure and magnetic properties of α-Fe/Nd2Fe14B nanocomposite magnets

摘要
The alpha-Fe/Nd2Fe14B nanocomposite magnets were prepared by melt spinning method and subsequent thermal annealing. The effect of the annealing temperature on the microstructure and magnetic properties of these alloys have been investigated. An enhanced magnetic properties has been obtained with the annealing temperature at 610 degrees C, where the coercivity H-c increases from 365.05 to 434.86 kA m(-1) and the largest (BH)(max) value of 94.67 kJ m(-3) is achieved. According to the Henkel plots analysis, a stronger intergrain exchange coupling is obtained for the alloys annealed at 610 and 680 degrees C, which result in a higher maximum energy product.
