Reaction of TeBr4 with SbBr3 in the presence of [C6H5(CH3)3N]Br:: Crystal structures of [C6H5(CH3)3N]2[Te2Br10] and [C6H5(CH3)3N][SbTeOBr6]

摘要
The title compounds have been isolated from a solution of TeBr4, SbBr3 and C6H5(CH3)(3)NBr in acetonitrile. The crystal structures were determined by X-ray methods. Crystals of [C6H5(CH3)(3)N](2)[Te2Br10] (1) are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n (No. 14) with Z=2 and a=8.354(2), b=11.683(2), c=17.753(4) Angstrom and beta=99.52(3)degrees. Crystals of [C6H5(CH3)(3)N][SbTeOBr6] (2) are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/m(No. 11) with Z=2 and a=7.689(2), b=12.672(3), c=10.459(2) Angstrom and beta=99.81(3)degrees. The anion of 1 consists of two edge-sharing distorted TeBr6 octahedra, whereas the anion of 2 consists of the two face-sharing psi-octahedral units SbOBr4 (lone pair) and TeOBr4 (lone pair) with the oxygen and two bromine atoms in the common face.
