On Optimal Spectrum Sensing Strategy for Cognitive Radio Systems under Primary User Emulation Attack

摘要
One of the common threats imposed to cognitive radio (CR) networks is referred to as primary user emulation attack (PUEA). In PUEA, some so called malicious users mimic the primary signal over the licensed frequency bands to deceive CR users to prevent them from accessing the vacant frequency. Considering smart PUEA with spectrum sensing capability, we propose a cooperative spectrum sensing scheme for CR network. More precisely, we drive optimal strategy for cooperative energy detection spectrum sensing based on the Neyman-Pearson criterion with the aim of maximizing the channel throughput. Simulation results indicate a significant improvement of the channel throughput for our proposed method compared to conventional defense techniques used to combat the presence of attacker.
