摘要
An unknown RNA virus in 2019 has highlighted the fragility of the planet's economy. The rapid expansion of the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 betacoronavirus, and the necessary containment measures adopted by governments, have paralyzed economic, working and social life and have abruptly altered global economic evolution. Activity and employment have suffered a very pronounced drop, generalized by different geographical areas and particularly intense in the services sector. Mobility restrictions have had a particularly pronounced impact on commerce and sectors linked to the movement of people, such as tourism. Therefore, although all countries and all autonomous communities suffer from the crisis derived from this health emergency, the pandemic does not affect all of them equally, with the Balearic Islands being the most affected Spanish territory.
