摘要：
Schlaf als zyklisch strukturierter Prozess ist ein Zustand aktiver autonomer Regulation. Die obstruktive Schlafapnoe (OSA), bei der es im Schlaf zu einer Fehlkoordination der an der Atmung beteiligten Muskelkompartimente kommt, hat unter den schlafbezogenen Atmungsstörungen die größte klinische Relevanz. System- und pulmonal-arterielle Hypertonie, Herzinsuffizienz, koronare Herzerkrankung sowie Myokardinfarkt und Apoplexie werden bei OSA gehäuft gefunden.
