Preparation and properties of diamond-CuTi composite sintered by microwave sintering

摘要
Diamond-CuTi composites were sintered using secondary microwave heating methods. Graphitization of the diamond powder was not observed during sintering at 1450 °C, and analysis showed that diamond bonds well with the CuTi matrix. The density, hardness and wear resistance of the composite increased initially as the diamond content increased and then decreased after passing a maximum at the diamond content of about 18.75-25 vol%.
