This paper reports the first synthesized Pt(IV) complex with ethylenediamine-N,N'-di-3-propionato ligand (eddp). The crystal structure of trans-[Pt(eddp)Cl-2] . H2O complex has been determined. Pt(IV) has a distorted octahedral coordination due to an intramolecular N-H...Cl interaction.
