Semantic rule service model: Enabling intelligence on grid architecture

摘要
Based on Semantic Web technology and OGSA architecture, we propose a Semantic Rule Service Model to enable intelligence on grid. In this model, we regard rules and inference engines as resources, and employ rule base services and inference services to encapsulate them to do inference on ontology knowledge. With the support of OGSA architecture, we organize the services as grid services in order to support the dynamic discovery and invocation of the rules and inference engines. The function of this model is to provide intelligent support to other grid services and software agents. In addition, we illustrate the application of this model in an application of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) system.
