Angular anisotropy of the H-3(d, alpha)n reaction at deuteron energies below 200 keV

摘要
The angular distributions of alpha particles emitted from the H-3(d, alpha)n reaction were measured at 7.5 degrees intervals from 60 degrees to 165 degrees for incoming deuteron energies of 100, 150, and 200 keV using 50 and 80 mu g/cm(2) thick TiT targets. The overall uncertainty of 0.16% of the data made it possible to determine Legendre-polynomial coefficients up to L = 2. The results are compared with an R-matrix parameterization. The measured angular anisotropies present the first experimental evidence of D-wave contributions to the cross section in the vicinity of the J(pi) = 3/2(+) S-wave resonance in He-5.
