The purpose of this study is to analyze the three concepts, water, carbon and energy footprint, correlation overlaps and differences between them, how they interact and complement each other, and their influence on society. Climate change and global warming have led to greater involvement of governments, local stakeholders and businesses associations in water resources, energy and carbon management. Relationship water, energy, carbon is inseparable, using water efficiently reduce the energy and carbon emissions. Currently there are many variations of computer programs that are based on this relationship, available free on the internet. Realizing several scenarios, we outline the dependence of water consumption, energy use and carbon footprint. In this sense have been developed strategies that are based on reducing consumption and compensation, each strategy with its advantages and disadvantages.
