摘要
The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical response and the safety of an therapy that consists of immediately loaded single-tooth Ankylos implants (Degussa Dental GmbH, Hanau, Germany) placed in the posterior region. Temporary prefabricated acrylic resin crowns are prepared immediately after the implantation. The crown occlusion is adjusted to obtain minimal contacts in the maximum intercuspation. After six weeks the implant is restored with a permanent crown. All crowns have a non-reduced buccolingual dimension, with occlusion contacts like a normal tooth. Tissue response and the preservation of marginal bone from the time of placement measured following this immediate loading protocol demonstrates an important clinical advantage.
