摘要
Tb-5(SixGe1-x)(4) samples with x=0.5 and 0.75 have been prepared with monoclinic crystal structure, They both exhibit paramagnetic-ferromagnetic phase transitions Lit 116 and 215 K, respectively. High-field magnetization curves at 4.2 K show distinct field-induced transitions. The magnetocaloric effect, determined for magnetic field change from 0 to 5T, ranges between 12.8 and 6.7 J/kg K, respectively. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
