摘要
DC to AC inversion is a core constituent in many energy systems. The drive to create and sustain smaller, more mobile systems, calls for a decrease in the size of the DC-AC inverters. This paper presents a novel design of an inverter circuit which has a high power density and good efficiency with a low total harmonic distortion (THD). The inverter maintains a continuous current profile at its input, putting less stress on the power system. A pure sine wave of 220Vrms, 60Hz is produced at the inverter output from a 450V input DC rail which is capable of driving loads of up to 2kW. The component count in this new design is low and the high frequency operation further reduces the size of the passive components. The design approach with the control technique is explained and both simulation and experimental results are discussed in detail in this paper.
