摘要
the present study aims to reflect on the formative paths and the teaching work of a basic education teacher with professional experience in several cities of Vale do Mamanguape, Paraiba. We understand that working with the life stories of educators can contribute to the construction of the history of education and the history of women, based on the recovery of female memory. We opted for the methodological resource of (auto) biographical narratives, that is, we took the narrated story itself as the core of the study. The appreciation of the narratives allowed us to reveal, even if partially, representations of being a teacher, knowledge built in the different training paths, the social meaning of the profession, pedagogical knowledge, dialogue between theory, and practice and aspects of the construction of teaching identity.
