摘要
This paper presents a finite volume method (FVM) based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for prediction of aerodynamic performance around a vehicle-bridge system subjected to cross wind. In this work, a three-dimensional vehicle-bridge simplified model is established, in which moving vehicle is presented by overset mesh technology. The flow around the vehicle bridge system is considered as incompressible and obtained by solving the unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations combined with the k-w based on shear strain transport (SST) turbulence model developed by Menter. The nature of the flow field around vehicle-bridge system under cross wind, including velocity, pressure, and vortices distributions, will be presented and described. In addition, the aerodynamic coefficients of vehicle and bridge will be calculated and discussed for a variety of vehicle speeds.
