The aim of this research is to describe characteristics that make up the sociodemographic profile of users who answered a questionnaire on the adoption of distance learning in basic education during the context of the pandemic by Covid-19. This is a descriptive study, carried out from the analysis of the responses to a questionnaire applied via electronic form. The data were collected anonymously between the months of April and May of the year 2020. For the elaboration of the sociodemographic profile, some variables were considered, namely: sex, age, color, region, education and professional occupation. The population size was 105 participants who answered a questionnaire on a digital platform. In the distribution of this research there was a female preponderance, belonging to white color. In the presence of respondents between 34 and 41 years old and with incomplete higher education, most of them from the southeast region, as an employed person, with an income between 1 and 2 wages and broadband internet users. The interviewees are part of this reality in their daily lives, which allowed for a deeper understanding of their responses. It is clear from the results that education outside the school environment is not yet present in all social strata, especially in the same strata that have already been marginalized by government policies that have neglected this segment of the population for a long time. Fundamentally, public policies must be promoted with a view to allowing the access of these popular groups to an education that is innovative in its way of education and that has technological aids.
