摘要
Objective: The goal of this study was to assess the osseointegration capability of Bone morphogenetic protein-2 and hyaluronic acid on hydroxyapatite-coated porous titanium. Method: Making porous titanium implants by sintering titanium powder at high temperature which were coated with hydroxyapatite by alkali and heat treatment and furthered using hyaluronic acid as delivery system to prolong the effect of Bone morphogenetic protein-2. The implants were inserted into the distal femora of rabbits. The animals were sacrificed in 6, 12 and 24 weeks to accomplish histological and biomechanical analysis. Result: According to the result of histological analysis, the osseointegration of Bone morphogenetic protein-2 group is better than hydroxyapatite -coated porous titanium group. In push-out experiment, all the samples have bigger shear stress as time is passing by. There is statistical difference between two groups in 6, 12 weeks but not in 24 weeks. Conclusion: Bone morphogenetic protein-2 and hyaluronic acid on hydroxyapatite-coated porous titanium has a good effect on repairing the defect of distal fumer in rabbit. It is a kind of fine biotechnology for future clinical application.
