摘要
A study was performed on the phase transformations in the process of long-term low-temperature heating of aluminum (Al) alloys with lithium (Li). The phase composition and the morphology of the segregation and the changes in the volume fraction were determined by the method of transmission electron microscopy, x-ray phase analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The results showed that the main cause of instability of the properties of Al-Li alloys was the residual supersaturation of the solid solution with Li. © 2002 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
