摘要
Methyl jasmonate (JA-Me) at 10(-3) M inhibited Amaranthus caudatus seed germination and decreased alpha-amylase activity. Exogenous gibberellin A(3) (GA(3)) and ethylene, but not benzyladenine (BA), increased activity of the enzyme in the presence of JA-Me, with ethylene being the most effective. The inhibitor of ethylene action, 2,5-norbornadiene (NBD) inhibited seed germination and decreased alpha-amylase activity. The inhibitory action of JA-Me on Amaranthus caudatus seed germination is associated with the inhibition of alpha-amylase activity. Exogenous GA(3) and ethylene control both alpha-amylase activity and seed germination in the presence of JA-Me.
