摘要
The article deals with sugar cane cultivation and sugar exports from Cuba. This article aims to analyse the development of sugar production in Cuba since 1990 and describes the evolution of production and the current situation until 2017. Although Cuba used to be one of the historically largest sugar producers, its production has fallen in recent years and other sectors such as tourism are growing in importance. Despite its lower production in recent years, sugar remains an integral part of Cuba's geography, history, and economy. In conclusion, the paper summarizes the possible future prospects for sugar production in Cuba.
